Our Belief
"We exist to help each other to know God in Christ and in the strength of His Spirit to make Him known"
Our Core Values
Believing
We believe that the way to know God and to enjoy a loving relationship with God is through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that because of His death and resurrection, God offers us forgiveness for the past and eternal life for the future. We believe that the Holy Spirit inspired the Bible as a reliable revelation of the character, work and purposes of God - for us and our world.
Belonging
We believe God calls us to be Christians together - a community of everyday people learning how to forgive each other and enjoy God’s new life together. In our worship and other meetings, we seek to learn more about God’s will for us from the Bible - and do all we can to support and encourage each other to live more wholeheartedly for God.
Growing
We know that coming to believe in Jesus is just the first step in our Christian walk and that we need to grow in faith every day. We provide opportunities for study and sharing in nurture groups, prayer groups and home groups - but know that all growth depends upon the ministry of the Holy Spirit. As part of our growing we aim to discover and use the gifts God is giving us to serve him within the church, our local community and our everyday lives and work.
Praying
We emphasise the importance of personal daily prayer and the need for us to regularly pray together - to listen to God, to bring our concerns to Him and to deepen our relationship with Him. As someone once said : "We work as though everything depends on us ... and pray as though everything depends on God".
Living
We seek to support and enable each other to honour God, live for Christ and be guided by His Spirit every day - to share his vision and live by his values in our homes, at work and in the community. As part of this we seek to use every opportunity to share the good news of Christ and what He means to us - wanting others to find the forgiveness and new life God offers.
Our Mission Statement
We the members of All Saints Necton seek to be faithful followers of Jesus, rejoicing in his life, death and resurrection, as the Lord of our lives and the one who sets us free from our sin. Alongside the people of our community and the other parishes in the benefice, we aim to grow in faith and understanding, encouraging one another by prayer; coming together around God’s word; the Bible; through worship and witness to what God has done in Jesus through our words and acts of loving service.
